# Rebilly news, features, and updates for January 2024

## New features

This month we added the following new features.

### Face liveness verification

This feature is available for the Rebilly KYC add-on only. To activate KYC, [contact Rebilly](/support/).

We added face liveness detection for the proof of identity document type.

Use face liveness detection to help ensure that the customer's face is real when taking a "selfie". This check detects if spoofs are presented to the camera, such as printed photos, digital photos and videos, 3D masks, and spoofs that bypass the camera, such as pre-recorded or deepfake videos. Face liveness detection uses a strict process. In some cases, such as in an environment with poor lighting, customers may find this difficult to complete.

### Additional fields

We added the `paymentInstrument.additionalFields` property to the Rebilly Instruments JavaScript library. Use this property to configure forms that contain additional fields. For more information, see [Additional fields](/docs/dev-docs/customize-layout-rebilly-instruments#additional-fields).

## Integration requests

Rebilly supports over 200 payment gateways and more than 170 payment methods including ACH, PayPal, and Bitcoin.
