# Automation reports

Use automation reports to generate reports on rules that have been matched or triggered over a period of time.

1. In the left navigation bar, press .
2. In the **Rules engine** section, press **Rules engine**.
3. Press **Automation reports**.
4. In top of the screen, press , and enter a date range.
5. In the **Rules matched** or **Events triggered** tab, press the dropdown and select an event.
