# Set relative and absolute time filters Use this process to filter [data table](/docs/data-tables/data-tables) or [segment](/docs/settings/segments) content based on a period of time that is relative to today's date, or based on a specific date range. 1. Select from the following: - Apply a time filter to a new segment: 1. In the left navigation bar, press . 2. In the **Management** section, press **Segments**. 3. Select **Data tables segment** or **Customer details segments**. 4. Press **Create segment**. 5. Enter segment details. - Apply a time filter to a data table: 1. In the left navigation bar, press , then press **Customer**, **Payments**, **Billing**, **Logs**, or **KYC & AML**. 2. In the top right of the table, press . 2. Press **Add filter**. 3. In the **Filter** dropdown, enter `Time` in the input field, then select a time related attribute. For example, "Created time". Note: Each segment and data table has different time related attributes. For more information, see [Search filters](/docs/dev-docs/search-filters/#relative-dates-and-times). 4. In the **Operation** dropdown, select a condition: - **Relative**: Use this option to specify a period of time that is relative to today's date. In the **Start** and **End** fields, specify the period of time. - **Absolute**: Use this option to specify a date range that is not relative to today's date. 5. Specify the time date range using the date picker fields. 6. Press **Apply filter**. 7.
