Manage payments
Use payments data tables to view, manage, and maintain all payments information.
A segment is a filtered view of a data set. To view filters that are applied to a segment: at the top of a billing table, click .
By default, payments data is organized into five segments:

All transactions: Contains all transactions (
type
is incredit
,refund
,sale
,void
,setup
,authorize
). -
Credits: Contains credit transactions (
type
is incredit
). -
Disputes: Contains disputed transactions (
is disputed
is true ). -
Sales: Contains approved sale transactions (
type
is insale
). -
Voids and refunds: Contains voided and refunded transactions (
type
is invoid
,refund
).

Payments interactions
This section describes all interactions that are available in payments data tables.
Add notes, attachments, or tags to a payments transaction
Use this process to add information to a payments transaction, or to tag a colleague or Rebilly support to get their input or help.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .

Dispute an approved transaction
Use this process to dispute an approved transaction with the customer. Use this process to dispute an under payment. For more information, see Disputes and fraud.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .
- Click All transactions or Sales .
- In the Id column, click a transaction ID.
- Click Dispute , complete the form, then click Save dispute .
Export payments table data as a CSV file
Use this process to export data that is contained in a data tables segment to a CSV file.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .
- Select one of the following segments: Credits , Disputes , Sales , or Voids and refunds .
- In the top right of the page, click Export , then click Export as CSV . When the reported is generated, a notification is displayed in the left navigation bar.

, then click the file to download.
Inspect a payment gateway transaction
Use this process to inspect, or troubleshoot, payment gateway requests and responses that relate to a payment transaction.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .
- Select one of the following segments: Credits , Disputes , Sales , or Voids and refunds .
- In the Timeline section, click a transaction item. Payment gateway transaction information is displayed.
- In the expanded transaction item, inspect the Original message and Original code fields. For more information, see Payment gateway response codes and messages .
Troubleshooting options
Use these troubleshooting options together with the steps described in the Inspect a payment gateway transaction section.

To share a transaction log with a third party provider: In the
Timeline
, on the right of transaction, click
.
Note : Only the PAN, CVV, and secret authentication keys are redacted.

To view application requests that are related to a transaction: In the top left of the page, click
View related API logs
. Locate the transaction, then on the right of the log, click
.

To receive notifications on payment discrepancies, subscribe to the following webhooks:
- Transaction discrepancy found .

Transaction amount discrepancy found

Query the payment gateway that processed the transaction
Use this feature to check for discrepancies between the payment gateway that processed the payment and the amount the customer paid. If a discrepancy is found, use this feature to resolve it.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .
- Click All transactions or Sales .
- In the Id column, click an approved transaction ID.
- Click Query gateway , view discrepancies, then click Update or Cancel .
Refund an approved transaction
Use this process to complete, a full or partial, refund for a processed transaction.

In the left navigation bar, click
, then click Payments .
- Click All transactions or Sales .
- In the Id column, click a transaction ID.
- Click Refund , enter the fund amount, then click Apply .
Refund one or more approved transactions
Use this process to complete a full refund for one or more processed transactions.

In the left navigation bar, click

- Click Sales .

On the left of the transactions in the table, select one or more checkboxes, then click
Refund selected items .
View payments activity
Use this process to view a customers payments activity. The timeline displays activity by date and time.

View payment transaction details
Use this process to view transaction details, such as: related webhook or API logs, transaction result and type, payment transaction status, transaction risk analysis, payment instrument information, and customer information.

- In the Id column, click a transaction ID.

View payments reports
Use this process to view interactive reports on all payment transactions over a period of time. For more information, see KPIs and reports.

View parent and child transactions
Use this process to view the parent and child transactions that relate to a voided and refunded payment transaction.

- In the Id column, click a transaction number.
- In the Parent transaction section, click the transaction number.
- From the parent transaction, in the Child transaction , click the transaction number.
View related invoices
Use this process to view invoices that are related to a payments transaction.
