# KYC

This feature is available for the Rebilly KYC add-on only.
To activate KYC, [contact Rebilly](/support/).

Use KYC data tables to view, edit, accept, and reject your customer's KYC documents.
To review KYC documents, see [Review KYC documents](#review-kyc-documents).
To pause or resume a review, see [Pause or resume a KYC document review](#pause-or-resume-a-kyc-document-review).

A segment is a filtered view of a data set.
To view filters that are applied to a segment: In the top right of the table, press **Filters**.

By default, KYC data is organized into three segments:

- Documents in review: Contains KYC documents in review (`reviewer id` *is not empty*; `review time` *is empty*; `status` *is in* `pending`, `in-progress`, `accepted`, `rejected`; `document type` *is-in* `identity-proof`, `address-proof`).
- Reviewed documents: Contains reviewed KYC documents (`review time` *is not empty*; `reviewer id` *is not empty*; `status` *is in* `pending`, `in-progress`, `accepted`, `rejected`; `document type` *is-in* `identity-proof`, `address-proof`).
- Unreviewed documents: Contains unreviewed KYC documents (`review time` *is empty*; `reviewer id` *is empty*; `status` *is in* `pending`, `in-progress`, `accepted`, `rejected`; `document type` *is-in* `identity-proof`, `address-proof`).

## KYC document interactions

This section describes all interactions that are available in KYC data tables.

### Review KYC documents

Use this process to manually review and accept or reject KYC documents.
When you open an unreviewed KYC document, the review process automatically starts and assigns you as the reviewer.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, then in the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
3. Optionally, to open the oldest unreviewed KYC document in the backlog: In the top right of the page, press **Arrow right**.
This pauses the review on the current document and opens the oldest unreviewed KYC document in the backlog.
4. At each KYC document, review the document image, summary information, and automated proof checks.
Select from the following:

- Accept the document

  In the top right of the page, press **Accept document**.

- Reject the document

    1. Optionally, specify a rejection reason: In the KYC document summary, next to **Rejection reason**, press **Edit**, then select a rejection reason type.

    2. Optionally, to provide more information about why you rejected the document: In the KYC document summary, next to **Rejection message**, press **Edit**, then enter a rejection message.
    3. In the top right of the page, press **Reject document**.

- Pause the review process

  This process removes your reviewer assignment and returns the document to the unreviewed backlog.
  The document is not accepted or rejected.
  To resume the review process:
    - If the KYC document is open, press **Start review**.
    - If the KYC document is not open, returning to the document automatically resumes the review process and assigns you as the reviewer.

- Update document information and accept or reject

  Update the document fields, then in the top right of the page, press **Update & accept document** or **Update & reject document**.

- Proceed to the next unreviewed document in the backlog

  In the top right of the page, press **Arrow right**.

### Update KYC document information

Use this process to update KYC document information.
The KYC information will change based on the document type.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. Use the **Update** column to update the corresponding document field; or press the **Customer** or **Document** fields, this will automatically update the corresponding document field.
5. In the top right of the page, press **Update & accept document** or **Update & reject document**.

### Go to the last unreviewed document

Use this process to directly go to the last unreviewed document.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. In the top right of the page, press **Arrow right**.

### Edit rejection reason

Use this process to edit a KYC document rejection reason.
For information on rejection reason types, see [KYC document rejection reasons](/docs/kyc-and-aml/kyc#kyc-document-rejection-reasons).

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
3. In the KYC document summary, next to **Rejection reason**, press **Edit**.
4. Edit the rejection information, then press **Confirm rejection**.

### Copy a KYC document ID

Use this process to copy a KYC document ID.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. In the KYC document summary, next to **Document ID**, press **Copy** **Copy document ID**.

### Open a KYC document image in original size

Use this process to open a KYC document image, in its original size, in a new tab.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. In the left of the page and at the top of the image, press **Open original in a new tab** **Preview**.

### Pause or resume a KYC document review

Use this process to pause or resume a KYC document review.

Pausing the review of a KYC document removes your reviewer assignment and returns the document to the unreviewed backlog.
The document is not accepted or rejected.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. Select from the following:
  - Pause the review process: In the top right of the page, press **Pause review**.
  - Resume the review process:
    - If the KYC document is open, press **Start review**.
    - If the KYC document is not open, returning to the document automatically resumes the review process and assigns you as the reviewer.

### Rotate KYC document image

Use this process to rotate a KYC document image.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. In the left of the page and at the top of the image, press **Rotate** **Refresh**.

### View KYC document proof checks

Use this process to view the automated KYC document proof checks.
To configure or adjust KYC document threshold and weight score options, see [KYC settings](/docs/settings/kyc).

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In a KYC table, in the **ID** column, press a KYC document ID.
4. In the right of the page, under the **Check passed** heading, the proof checks are displayed.

### View KYC document proof scores

Use this process to view automated KYC document proof scores.
To configure or adjust KYC document threshold and weight score options, see [KYC settings](/docs/settings/kyc).

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Select **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
3. In the top right of the table, press **Edit columns**, select the **Score** checkbox, then press **Apply**.
Proof scores column are now displayed in the table.

### View KYC document verification levels

Use this process view document verification levels in data tables.

1. In the left navigation bar, press **Data tables**, then press **KYC & AML**.
2. Press any KYC segment.
3. Press **KYC unreviewed documents**, **KYC documents in review**, or **KYC reviewed documents**.
4. In the top right of the table, press **Edit columns**.
5. In the **Select columns** section, select enter `Match level`, then select the **Match level** checkbox.
6. Press **Apply**.
