Rebilly news, features, and updates for August 2022

Hi there! Welcome to the Rebilly blog post for August 2022. Summer is coming to a close and we're getting excited for cooler temperatures on the horizon. While the temperatures might still be warm, we've got some cool new features for you this month.

New features

This month, we added the following new features.

Revenue journal report

Use the revenue journal reports to view recognized revenue and revenue audit data. The revenue journal is a detailed revenue waterfall report, which describes revenue that is recognized at a certain month, aggregated by product ID, product accounting code, or plan ID. It contains information on booked revenue, recognized revenue for the aggregation field in the booked period, and the remaining revenue up to the selected month. To view revenue audit data in a revenue journal report, click on any month.

To create revenue reports, see Revenue journal.

Coupons

The Rebilly Instruments JavaScript library now supports the use of coupons. For more information, see Coupons. Additionally, you can now display coupons on hosted payment forms. For more information, see Edit a hosted payment form.

Custom domains

Rebilly now supports the use of custom domains in hosted checkout forms and billing portals. Instead of using the default Rebilly domain: portal.secure-payments.app, you can use your own. To view UI related documentation, see Billing portals and Checkout forms. To view related API documentation, see Billing portal operations and Checkout forms operations.

You can now send access-related email notifications to predefined email addresses when certain events occur. For more information, see Organization email notifications.

New docs

As always, we are working hard on our docs — this last month was no exception. Here are some of the larger docs that we completed in August.

End-to-end FramePay integration guide

This topic describes how to implement FramePay in a checkout page and use it to tokenize payments, and also to use a server-side controller to complete a purchase transaction. For more information, see End-to-end FramePay integration guide.

API descriptions writing guide

This topic provides guidance on how to write API documentation descriptions when contributing the Rebilly APIs. We are currently reworking our API descriptions based on this guide. For more information, see Writing style.

New payment gateway integrations

This month, we added the following integrations:

Integration requests

Rebilly supports more than 199+ payment gateways and supports 167+ payment methods including ACH, PayPal, and Bitcoin. If you would like to add a payment integration that’s not in our list, complete the request a new payment gateway integration process.

If you have any questions, please contact us. We are happy to help!
