June 30, 2022 · 3 min read

Hi there! We are kicking off the start of summer with some hot new feature releases and integrations.

New features

This month, we added the following new features.

BxGy coupon restrictions

Buy X get Y promotions incentivize new customers to buy and also reward existing customers. This restriction type enables you to add discounted plans to an invoice when a certain quantity of other plans are purchased. For example, if a customer buys two or more books, they get one free bookmark. For more information, see Coupons & discounts and the Create a coupon operation under the restrictions key.

Export organization data

Use this feature to export your current organization's data in ZIP format. For more information, see Export organization data and the Organization data exports operations.

Block gateway account on chargeback limit app

The Block gateway account on chargeback limit app temporarily disables a payment gateway account when the chargeback limit is reached. This app subscribes to transaction-processed webhooks and calculates the total number of chargebacks and the total chargeback amount for each gateway account. If the daily charge limit is reached, this app disables the payment gateway account until the end of the day. If the monthly charge limit is reached, this app will disable the payment gateway account until the end of the month. For information on how to access and install apps, see Install an app.

Credit memos

A credit memo is a record which describes a certain amount that is owed to a customer, it is also a means of providing a customer with store credit. A common use case for using a credit memo is to provide a customer with store credit, rather than a refund, if the customer pays more than they owe or returns a product.

A credit memo is similar to an invoice. It includes items, taxes, and shipping, but its total is subtracted from the invoice amount. Unused credit memo amounts are automatically allocated to renewal invoices that have the autopay feature enabled.

For more information, see Create a credit memo and the Credit memo resource documentation.
